The whole family is welcome at a not-so-scary Halloween storytime, Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Join Miss Amy and Miss Lisa for some frightfully good, not-so-spooky tales and songs. We will parade through the Library and enjoy a mini-celebration and craft befitting the holiday. Come in costume if you’d like. Ages 2 to 7 with caregiver; please register.
Candle-making
Learn how to make your own beeswax candles! Class will run from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 3. Make one for yourself and a friend. Supplies provided to make two candles to take home. Age 10 through adults, please register.
International Games Day
Students in grades 6 thru 12 are invited to celebrate International Games Day, Friday, Nov. 8, from 3 to 5:30 p.m., at the library. Everything gamers love, from Switch videogames on the big screen, to Magic the Gathering, Minecraft on our server, and a variety of board games, there is something for everyone. There will be snacks! Please register.
Sign Language Story Time
Sign language belongs to the deaf and hard-of-hearing community, but even hearing children can benefit from being introduced to and learning it. Librarian/Storyteller Ann Gainer will offer a fun, interactive, and educational storytime for young children and families. Children ages 2 to 6 with caregiver, please join us from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 9. Please register.
Second Sunday Film
Join us at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 10 for “The story of the legendary rock band Queen and the lead singer, Freddy Mercury, leading up to their famous 1985 performance at Live Aid.” Light refreshments will be served.
Bricks, Bits & Bots
Drop by on Monday, Nov. 11, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, to program the Ozobots or build inventions with the littleBits. We’ve got LEGO® bricks for all ages and stages, toddlers to tweens, everyone is welcome to drop in and enjoy building together. No registration necessary.
Beading Workshop
Homemade gifts are the best! You can learn easy beading techniques for making necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. The library provides tools and offers a variety of beads to choose from, or you are welcome to bring your own supplies and projects along. Check out our beading books and magazines for inspiration. This program runs from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov.12. You may arrive at any time during the workshop that fits your schedule. Adults and teens ages 14 and up. Please register.
Veterans Day
In observance of Veterans Day, the Library will close at 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11.

The library is always looking for new local artwork and collections. If you would like to display your work at the Library in 2020, please stop by, or call 518-765-2791 to get more information.
