Plan an outdoor adventure with our Nature Diary kit. Take a walk outside in your neighborhood or go for a hike. Write down your thoughts or draw pictures of the various flowers and animals you may see. Be creative.
Each kit includes: notebook, embellishments and nature quotes, pencil/sharpener, eraser, glue stick, and a set of colored pencils. Limited quantities are available; please register. Within a few days of registering, you will receive an email regarding pick-up of the Nature Diary Journal Kit. Families are welcome to request one kit.
Maker Monday
Club for Adults
Join the Maker Monday Club, with a new project every Monday. You can register online, or call the library at 518-765-2791. Once registered, you can stop by the library to pick up your free project kit. Take your kit home to enjoy some creativity time.
Virtual Books &
Beyond Discussion
The Books & Beyond Book Discussion will meet virtually via GoToMeeting. We will be discussing “Tsarina” by Ellen Alpsten, from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Aug. 19. There is a limited number of books from the publisher. If you are interested in reading and discussing the book please register and you will be notified on a time to pick up your book. Thank you.

Graphic Novel
Book Club
Join us at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, to discuss George Takei's graphic novel memoir, “They Called Us Enemy”, via GoToMeeting. Participants may join through the video conference or by phone. Please register to get an invitation.
This discussion is considered for adults. This book can be read digitally on Hoopla, Libby, and Overdrive. Copies will be available to check out at the library. Please call to reserve: 518-765-2791.
In-house browsing
and computers
A limited number of appointments are available Monday through Friday to browse for and check out materials or computer use. Appointments must be made in advance by phone. Please call Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 518-765-2791 to schedule your appointment.
Each appointment slot is for one person only. Each appointment is for a maximum of 30 minutes. Any person entering the building is expected to: wear a mask; follow 6-feet physical distancing; follow directional arrows on the floor. Restrooms remain closed to the public.
All curbside services will remain during this time. Only the outdoor book-drop may be used to return books - please do not bring returns into the building. All items on the shelves have been quarantined for a minimum of 96 hours.
