The next scheduled hours for Encore! are June 13, 16, 20 and 23, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Sherry at .

Teen volunteers

Students entering grade seven and up are invited to join us on Friday, June 17, at 4:30 p.m. for this mandatory teen-volunteer orientation. Summer volunteer jobs include helping prepare crafts, working with younger children during programs, and some computer tasks. Fill out a volunteer form (a link can be found through our online calendar) prior to this mandatory volunteer orientation. Teens should also bring their summer calendars so they know which dates they are available to volunteer.  For more information, please contact Debbie Sternklar at the library, or e-mail . Space in the volunteer program is limited, please register for orientation online by Monday, June 13.

Summer reading program

Join us at the Performing Arts Center on June 27, for an invigorating and exciting evening of song and dance with nationally acclaimed children’s musician of PBS fame, Steve Roslonek of Steve Songs. Steve has been writing and performing his award-winning music for kids and families for the past fifteen years.

Anyone who’s attended a Steve Songs concert appreciates his ability to connect with his audience from the exuberant children flocking toward the stage, to the moms bouncing babies with the beat, to the parents and grandparents singing along. You won’t want to miss this one.

This program is made possible with the generous support of the Friends of the Library and the Voorheesville PTA. The concert will be held at the Lydia C. Tobler Performing Arts Center at the Clayton A. Bouton High School/Middle School.
