Tween Creativity Lab

Come learn the ins and outs of basic printmaking with local children’s artist and teacher, Aly Parrott on Saturday, March 24, from 2 to 4 p.m.. In this workshop we will explore the endless possibilities of the printmaking medium. We will learn the basics of sketching, transferring and carving designs, mixing ink and pulling prints onto our very own sketchbooks, t-shirts and wall-art. Students will be able to bring home their projects, as well as their carved designs to use over and over again. No need to worry; we will be using non-toxic water-soluble ink and easy, safe carving methods so students can concentrate on having fun and being creative! All supplies provided. For grades four to seven. Please register.

Quilling – Tulip Card

Quilling, or paper filigree, is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper is wound around a quilling tool to create a basic coil shape. The paper is then glued at the tip and these shaped coils are arranged to form flowers, leaves, and various ornamental patterns. Register now for this Sunday, March 25 program that will run from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Introduction to Tea

Where does tea really come from? How is it made? What is the difference between green or black or white or orange pekoe or Darjeeling? There is so much to learn about the world’s most historic and widespread drink. Can we learn about it in 2 hours?  No, but we can begin while tasting some delicious teas of the world. Please register for this 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 28 program.
