Join Ms. Amy and Ms. Lisa from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m., on Saturday, March 14, for a magical celebration of all things green.
Come get your green on with some St. Patrick's Day-themed STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) stations, which will include rainbow magic milk, four-leaf-clover counting, green slime-making, and design-your-own leprechaun traps!
Botley the coding robot will be joining us as well and together we may be able to catch that pesky leprechaun! Please register.
Make Monday
Join us on Monday, March 16 as we kick off Maker Monday! Register now to make a pour painted shamrock craft. All ages are welcome! Choose either the 2:30 to 4 p.m. class, or the 6:30 to 8 p.m. class.
Tea program
The history of teapots is colorful and as exciting as tea itself. Please join us from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, March 15 for all things tea. We’ll discuss the evolution of teapots in different countries and cultures. If you bring your favorite teapot, there will be a variety of teas which you can brew for yourself and enjoy.
Toddler Yoga & Music Time
Bring your toddler and join us for a fun, creative and playful free yoga class. Toddlers, ages 22 months through 3 years old with a caregiver, are invited to join us from 6 to 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, for a class that incorporates songs, musical instruments, and games as an introduction to Yoga. Tricia Kandefer is a certified yoga instructor, who specializes in working with young children and families. Please register
How to make herbal kombucha
Join us from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 19 to learn how to make and flavor your own homemade kombucha with fruit and herbs. In this hands-on workshop, each participant will leave with their own SCOBY, starter liquid and guide to start brewing kombucha once they get home. Class size is limited, so please register early.
An Evening with Tim O’Shea and Friends
Join us from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., March 25 for an evening of Irish Music, Song and Dance. Singer-guitar player, Tim O’Shea, traveling on a US tour from Killarney Ireland, will be stopping in Voorheesville to perform traditional Irish folk music. Tim will be performing with fiddler Paudy Timoney, and Andrew Colletti, Irish Step Dancer. If you love Irish music played with passion and fervor you’ll love this performance. Please register.
Save the date
Join Dr. Thomas Kersting, psychotherapist, nationally recognized speaker, and author for an interactive workshop on Thursday, April 30, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the Voorheesville Central School District Lydia C. Tobler Performing Arts Center.
Dr. Kersting will explore the research about the device-dependent world our children live in and how it is affecting their physical, emotional, and social well being. This program is made possible by the generous contributions from the Voorheesville Public Library through “Bullet Aid” from Senator George Amedore, Voorheesville Friends of the Library, Voorheesville PTA, and St. Matthew’s Church.
