Daily, we witness Planet Earth growing increasingly warm and increasingly foreign to us.
Bringing together research about climate change with research about physical and mental health and well-being, a talk titled “Healthy You, Healthy Earth” offers a doorway into a win-win solution. The talk will take place at the Voorheesville Public Library on Thursday, Feb. 28, at 6:30 p.m.

Pick up a copy, and invite a friend to join you for this after-hours teen book club on Friday, March 1 at 6 p.m. Dinner will be served. For grades 9 and up; please register.
Dr. Seuss’s Birthday Bash!
Happy Birthday to you, Dr. Suess! Join Ms. Amy and Ms. Lisa for a fabulous birthday story time celebrating one of our favorite authors and illustrators, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 2. Birthday cake will be part of the festivities. For ages 2 to 8 with parents/caregivers. Please register.
March Magic
Magic the Gathering is the world’s most popular strategy card game. During a match, players cast devastating spells, summon creatures of legend, and wield powerful artifacts to best their opponents in a battle of wits.
Free decks are available for beginners; come learn to play! Already know how? Come find new opponents — on Sunday, March 3, from 2 to 4 p.m. for grades 7 to 12. Please register.
Time for Tomatoes!
The Voorheesville Seed Library has many heirloom vegetable varieties and March is the perfect time to start your tomatoes. Join us from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, March 4, and we'll have everything you need to bring home some tomato seedlings.

Musical Storytime: Miss Lisa’s Musikids
Children ages 18 months to 5 years, with caregiver are invited to join Lisa Russo for a morning of musical fun, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5. Miss Lisa’s Musikids’ community programming is great for all ages, from lap-sitters to kindergarteners.
With lots of singing, creative movement, and hands-on instruments, you and your child are sure to have a great musical time! Registration Requested.
Second Sunday Film
Join us on Sunday, March 10 at 2 p.m. for a movie that the Internet Movie Database describes this way: “Inspired by the imagination of P.T. Barnum, this movie is an original musical that celebrates the birth of show business and tells of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation.” Light refreshments will be served.

Snow delays
If the Voorheesville Schools are delayed by two hours due to weather, all morning youth programs will be cancelled. If school is cancelled, all youth programs for the day are cancelled. Call to check on adult afternoon or evening programs.
