Schoharie Library Notes for Thursday, December 27, 2018
There will be no story time at the Schoharie Library on Dec. 29. We’ll start again in the new year, on Fridays at 10 a.m.
Writing Club
Writing Club will meet Monday, Jan. 7, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. If you like to write, and you want to share & discuss writing with others, this group is for you!
Crafts
Knit, Crochet & Needlework Club will meet Tuesdays, Jan. 8 and 22, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Bring a project, start something new, or learn to knit/crochet with this friendly group. Knitting needles, crochet hooks, and yarn are available at the library. The club meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. All ages and abilities are welcome.
Social Media Marketing 101
On Thursday, Jan. 10, at 6 p.m. to learn how to promote your book, business, organization, events, or products using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and more! Presenter: Sarah McFadden, Rensselaer County Cornell Cooperative Extension.
Read with Gracie
On Thursday, Jan. 10, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. join. Gracie. She loves a good story, especially when a young friend reads to her. She’s a friendly goldendoodle therapy dog, and all are welcome to stop in and visit her.
Read with Ariel
On Friday, Jan. 18, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. come to the library and read with Ariel a sweet therapy dog who loves to have children read to her; everyone is invited to spend time with her.
All About Maple Syrup
On Saturday, Jan. 19, at 10:30 a.m. Have you ever wondered how maple syrup is made? Tapping trees and boiling sap are a great way to beat the late winter blahs - learn about this fun hobby from backyard boilers Bob and Alyson Montione! Maple refreshments will be provided.
Library schedule
Minecraft Club will be on break for the winter, and will meet again in March.
The Schoharie Library will be closed Dec. 30 to Jan. 2.
