Schoharie Library Notes for Tuesday, November 3, 2020

The Schoharie Library welcomes patrons back into the library. Our hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday from noon to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Patrons are required to wear a mask to enter the library and staff will wear masks at all times.

Return books in book-drop. Details about the library’s reopening plan and curbside pickup can be found on the library website, www.schoharielibrary.org

 StoryWalk

Miss Heather’s “Wacky Wednesday” StoryWalk and activity sheets are available outside the Schoharie Library! StoryWalk® was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont and has been developed with the help of Rachel Senechal, Kellogg-Hubbard Library.

Online Programs

To sign up for online programs, contact or click the link to the sign-up sheet at www.schoharielibrary.org or on our Facebook page events. 

— Online UFO (Unfinished Object) Club: Thursdays, Nov. 5 and 19, 10a.m.;

— Online  Interactive Storytime with Miss Heather: Fridays at 10 a.m. Stories, crafts, songs, more;

— Online Crazy Quilting with Betty Fikes Pillsbury: Saturdays, Nov. 7 and 21, 10 a.m. to noon.  Make an embellished Crazy Quilt heart in time for the holidays! We’ll also have one more date in early December to finish up. Kits are available at the library. Contact to sign up.

— Online Writing Club: Meets every Monday at 6:30 p.m.; 

— MiSci Virtual Programs with Activity Kits - contact to sign up, then pick up your kit at the Schoharie Library and follow along with the interactive program. The programs include:

— Monday, Nov. 9, 4 p.m. Rosie Revere, Engineer! Learn about the engineering process and build a flying machine of your own;

— Tuesday, Nov. 17, 4 p.m. Insect Invasion! Observe a vast world of insects and build your own model of a popular arthropod;

— Online Branding & Digital Marketing*: Tuesday, Nov. 10, 6:30 p.m.  Learn to create relationships with your digital community to help promote and support your project, artwork, or business; brand yourself; and outline a marketing strategy, identify your audience, and effectively communicate with them! Facilitator: Elizabeth Ibarra; and

— Online Knitcetera Club: Tuesdays, Nov. 10 and 24, 10:30am. Share whatever you’re working on, or learn something new!
