Schoharie Library Notes for Wednesday, October 2, 2019

Story time is held at the Schoharie Library every Friday at 10 a.m.

The theme for Oct. 4 is Cars & Trucks. Boats is the theme for Oct. 11.

Stories, crafts, games, and more are all part of story time. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Making Cider

Making Apple Cider is at the library on Monday, Oct. 7,  at 3:30 p.m. Use an antique cider press to make delicious apple cider the old-fashioned way!

Writing Club

On Mondays,  Oct. 7 and 21, from 6 to 8 p.m.Writers of all ages are welcome! Bring your fiction, non-fiction, poetry, etc. to share, discuss & critique.

Knitcetera Club 

On Tuesdays, Oct.  8 and 22, 10:30 a.m. join us to kKnit, crochet, embroider, quilt. This is a fun, creative group! 

E-mail Basics

On Tuesday, Oct. 8, 3:30 p.m. learn how to set up an account, send and receive e-mail, use attachments, and work with other features (mostly Gmail). Bring your own laptop/smartphone if possible. This project was supported by  funds from the New York State Library’s Adult Literacy Library Services Program.

Read to a Dog

Read with Ariel on Friday, Oct. 11, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Reading to a therapy dog is a fun way for kids to enhance reading skills! 

Library Closed

The Schoharie Library will be closed Monday, Oct. 14 in observance of Columbus Day.
