Schoharie Library Notes for Wednesday, September 23, 2020
The Schoharie Library welcomes patrons back into the library. Our hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday from noon to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Patrons are required to wear a mask to enter the library and staff will wear masks at all times.
Return books in book-drop. Details about the library’s reopening plan and curbside pickup can be found on the library website, www.schoharielibrary.org.
Story Walk
Miss Heather’s “FlatStanley” StoryWalk and activity sheets are available outside the Schoharie Library! StoryWalk® was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT. and has been developed with the help of Rachel Senechal, Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
Online Programs

— Online Interactive Storytime with Miss Heather: Fridays at 10 a.m.. Themes include the Letter B The Wheels on the Bus on Sept 25 and on Oct. 2 animals that start with the letter C;
— Online Writing Club: Meets every Monday at 6 p.m.;
— Online Life Drawing Classes: Wednesdays, Sept. 30 and Oct. 7, from 7 to 9 p.m. Learn to draw the human figure with instructor Joel Bramer and a live model. Ages 10-adult. This project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered in Schoharie County by Greene County Council on the Arts dba CREATE Council for Resources to Enrich the Arts, Technology & Education;
— Online “UFO” Unfinished Object Club: Thursdays, Oct. 1 and 15, 10 a. m.;
— Online Knitcetera Club: Tuesday, Oct. 13 and 27, at 10:30 a.m.;
— Online “Cyber Safety” program: Tuesday, Oct. 13, 6:30 p.m. Learn how to protect your date and privacy. Facilitator: John Borst. This project is supported by funds from the New York State Library’s Adult Literacy Library Services Program; and
— Online Writing Workshop: Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to noon. Author and university professor Frankie Y. Bailey presents “Avoiding Pitfalls and Delighting Readers.” This program is part of a series made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature. Sponsored by the Mohawk Valley Library System and participating member libraries.
