Schoharie Library Notes for Wednesday, September 16, 2020
The Schoharie Library welcomes patrons back into the library. Our hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday from noon to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Patrons are required to wear a mask to enter the library and staff will wear masks at all times.
No more than 15 people are allowed in the library at one time, computer use is limited, and social distancing is required. Further details about the library’s reopening plan may be found on the library website, www.schoharielibrary.org.
The library continues to offer ramp-door pick-up. Request books with online catalog: https://pac.sals.edu/polaris, e-mail: , or phone: 518-295-7127. Return books in the book drop.

Miss Heather’s StoryWalk at the Schoharie Library: Stop by any time, pick up an activity sheet, and enjoy the “Flat Stanley” StoryWalk! StoryWalk® was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and has developed with the help of Rachel Senechal, Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
Online Programs

— Online “UFO” Unfinished Object Club, Thursday, Sept. 17, 10 a.m.;
— Online Storytime: Fridays at 10am. Themes: , “A is for Alligator” on Sept. 18; on Sept. 25 “B is the The Wheels on the Bus”;
— Online Writing Club: Meets every Monday at 6 p.m.;
— Knitcetera Club: Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 10:30 a.m.;
— Online “How to Use Zoom:” Tuesday, Sept. 22, 6:30 p.m. This project is supported by funds from the New York State Library’s Adult Literacy Library Services Program;
— Online Life Drawing Classes: Wednesdays, Sept. 30 and Oct. 7, 7 to 9 p.m. Learn to draw the human figure with instructor Joel Bramer and a live model. Ages 10-adult. This project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered in Schoharie County by Greene County Council on the Arts dba CREATE Council for Resources to Enrich the Arts, Technology & Education; and
— Online Writing Workshop: Saturday, Oct. 24, 10 a.m. to noon. Author and university professor Frankie Y. Bailey presents “Avoiding Pitfalls and Delighting Readers.” This program is part of a series made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature. Sponsored by the Mohawk Valley Library System and participating member libraries.
