Schoharie Library Notes for Wednesday, August 25, 2021

The Schoharie Library is open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursdays from noon to 7 p.m.; and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are now able to process interlibrary loan requests. Check our website and Facebook page for information, resources, and updates!

In response to the rise in COVID-19 cases in the county, the Schoharie Library asks everyone to wear face masks inside the library and, when social distancing is not possible outside, regardless of vaccination status. Thank you for doing your part to help keep our community safe.

Summer reading

Make sure to let us know how many hours you read and let us know by Aug. 26 to earn a book and be eligible for a prize drawing!

— Summer Reading Wrap-up: Thursday, Aug. 26, at 6:30 p.m. — prize books, games, water rockets, fun;

— Books & Chocolate Book Chat: Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 6:30 p.m. What have you been reading? Share your favorites;

— Library Board of Trustees Meeting: Wednesday, Sept. 8, at 7 p.m.;

— Annual Book Sale and more: Saturday, Sept. 11; and

— Knitcetera: Tuesdays, Sept. 14 and 28 at 10:30 a.m. Knit, crochet, sew, work on a project — beginners welcome.

Virtual programs include:

— Writing Club: Mondays, Aug. 30, at 7 p.m.; Sept. 13, 20, and 27 at 6:30 p.m.; and

— UFO (Unfinished Object Club): Thursdays, Sept. 9 and 23, at 10 a.m.
