Schoharie Library Notes for Thursday, April 23, 2020

These Schoharie Library activities online:

Although the Schoharie Library is closed and our in-person activities are canceled or postponed, we’re holding clubs and activities for children and adults online! Check our Facebook Events for more information and updates. To sign up to receive a link for online programs, contact or click the link to our sign-up sheet on Facebook.

Here’s what we have scheduled so far:

— Online Writing Club: Every Monday at 6 p.m.;

— Online “UFO” Unfinished Object Club, Thursdays, April 23,  May 7 and 21, 10:30 a.m. It’s always easier to work on a project when you’ve got company! Maybe we’ll even finish something;

— Online Story Time with Miss Heather: Fridays at 10 a.m. Interactive stories, songs, and activities! Have paper and crayons ready;

— Online Knitcetera Club: Tuesdays, April 28, May 12 and 26, 10:30 a.m. Share knitting, crocheting, quilting, and embroidery projects, catch up with friends, enjoy some connection;

— Online Kids’ Fun Hour: Wednesday, April 29, 3 p.m. We’ll do an interactive game, craft, or other activity using common household items like toilet paper tubes, paper, glue, paint, crayons, and tape; and

— Online Books and Chocolate Book Chat: Sunday, May 3, 6:30 p.m. Join us in cyberspace to talk about books you’ve enjoyed and share ideas for future reading! You’ll have to provide your own chocolate for now — maybe we can share recipes, too.

Services and resources

— Wifi is available outside the building and in the parking lot;

— The book drop is closed — please hang onto your books till we reopen. No late fees will be charged as long as books are returned within two weeks of the library’s reopening;
