Schoharie Library Notes for Wednesday, March 8, 2023

The Schoharie Library is open on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m.; on Thursday from noon to 7 p.m.; and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Art and craft materials are always available during library hours.

— Virtual UFO (unfinished objects) Club: Thursdays, March 9 and 23, 10 a.m. Work on projects and chat on Zoom. Signup: https://bit.ly/SchoharieLibraryPrograms;

— Teen Thursday: Every Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. Young adults are welcome! No registration is required;

— Story Time with Yvonne: Fridays at 10 a.m. Stories, songs, fun activities;

— Knitcetera at the Library: Tuesdays, March 14 and 28, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Embroider, sew, knit, anything goes.

— Printmaking Classes with Maeve McCool: Thursdays, March 9, 16, 23, and 30. Learn to carve your design onto a printing block and print it on fabric. Best for ages 9 and up. Signup: https://bit.ly/Printmaking2023;

— Celtic Celebration: Friday, March 17, from 4:30 to 5:30pm. Irish dance demonstration, soda bread, more! All ages are welcome;

— History and Hearsay: Schoharie Crossing on the Erie Canal. Saturday, March 25, at 10:30 a.m. Join us to hear some fascinating tales from Schoharie Crossing Historic Site. All ages are welcome;

— Coding Club: Friday, March 31, at 4:15 p.m. Youth in fifth grade and older are invited to attend Coding Club. Explore Hour of Code, learn Scratch, play with our Dash Robot, and much more. — The Art of Ukrainian Pysanky: Saturday, April 1, at 11 a.m. Laura Boggs Gagnon will demonstrate the intricate wax, flame, and dye process of creating Ukrainian Easter eggs (Pysanky), and talk about the history and significance of the designs. All ages are welcome.
