Schoharie Library Notes for Wednesday, March 4, 2020

Improve muscle tone and reduce stress with gentle stretches and twists, breathing and relaxation exercises. Come to a Chair Yoga session with Venus Louise at the Schoharie Library on Thursdays at 1:30 p.m.  All ages are welcome. 

Storytime

Storytime with Miss Heather is every Friday at 10 a.m.! Stories, crafts, games, and more! Themes:  March 6, How Do You Stay Calm?; March 13, Colors of the Rainbow; March 20, Spring! And March 27, All About Dogs, with special guests Emily and her dog Ariel. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Step Dance Performance

Celtic Celebration featuring Iona Troupe on Friday, March 6, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Join us for a lively Irish step dance performance, Celtic folk tales, Irish soda bread and other treats! All ages are welcome.

Knitcetera Club

On Tuesdays, March 10 and 24, at 10:30 a.m. join this fun, creative group to kniit, crochet, embroider, and quilt.

Read with Ariel

On Fridays, March 13, April 10 and 24, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. enjoy reading to a friendly therapy dog. It  is a fun way to increase confidence and reading skills!

Writing Club 

On Mondays, March 16 and 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. writers of all ages are welcome to bring their fiction, non-fiction, poetry, etc. to share, discuss and critique. 

The Art of Pysanky 

Ukrainian Easter Eggs on Saturday, March 21, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Laura Boggs Gagnon will demonstrate how to turn an ordinary egg into an intricate work of art, using wax, dye, and flame! All ages are welcome.
