Schoharie Library Notes for Wednesday, February 17, 2021

The Schoharie Free Library remains open to properly-masked, socially-distanced visitors during its regular hours: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday from noon to 7 p.m.; and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Details and community resources are at www.SchoharieLibrary.org.  

The library has recently received dozens of new books and videos for young audiences. Come by and browse our new collections. 

All our regularly scheduled programs are currently meeting online via Zoom. Here’s what we have scheduled for the coming week: 

Our UFO (Unfinished Objects) Club will meet on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 10 a.m. to share progress and tips on their craft projects. New members are always welcome to join. 

Attend our Interactive Story Time with Miss Heather on Friday, Feb. 19, at 10 a.m. for stories, crafts, songs, and more.     

The second meeting of the newly-established Young Adult Advisory Council will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 22. This week the council will be considering new yong-adult books to buy for the library’s collection. 

The next meeting of our Writing Club will be at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 22.  

Our Knitcetera Club is scheduled to meet again at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24. 

The library is also hosting a “Using Libby/Overdrive for Audiobooks” program at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24. Learn how to browse, download, and navigate the thousands of free, downloadable audiobooks your library card allows you to access.
