Middleburgh Library Notes for Thursday, December 1, 2016

On Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 10:45 a.m. get ready to move in this interactive story time designed especially for children up to age 5 and their caregivers. We'll read books, sing songs, recite fingerplays, dance, and watch a short movie based on a weekly theme. No registration is required.

Mahjong

On Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 1 p.m. men and women are invited to the library for a get together in the community room to play Mahjong. Don't know how to play? They will teach you how. No problem. No registration is required.

 Insight meditation

On Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 5:15 p.m. join us for a simple group Zazen meditation practice.  All are welcome. No registration is required.  

Discovery Wednesdays

On Wednesday, Dec. 7  at 11 a.m. join Miss Doreen as she welcomes children ages 3 to 6 to her story time. Lots of fun with stories, songs, fingerplays and a craft.  No registration required.

Movie

On Dec. 7 at 1 p.m. join us for a Wednesday matinee. The popcorn is free.

Cookbook challenge

On Dec. 7 at 5:30 p.m. join us for the cookbook challenge. The holiday season is here and what better time to check out some of our newest cookbooks? Check one out or copy a recipe that you would like to make. This month we'll be focusing on appetizers or finger foods - perfect for a holiday gathering. On Dec. 7 we'll get together for a potluck where we'll share our creations. The only requirement is that you let us know which cookbook your recipe came from and what it is called. The library will provide drinks.  Registration is required.

Knitting circle

On Thursday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. the friendly ladies knit and crochet, embroider, and quilt, and more. You can learn a new skill here or share your own special talents with others or just craft in the company of friends. Drop in anytime. No registration is required.
