Middleburgh Library Notes for Wednesday, October 16, 2013

On Tuesday, Oct 22, at 10:45 a.m., come to the Middleburgh Library for drop in story time. Get ready to move in this interactive story time designed especially for children up to age 5 and their caregivers. We'll read books, sing songs, recite fingerplays, dance and watch a short movie based on a weekly theme. No registration is required.

Preschool science

On Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 11 a.m. join us for Start with Science. This preschool science program makes science simple for the very young. This program is appropriate for ages 3 and up and their caregivers.  Registration is required.

Wednesday matinee

On Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 1 p.m. the library will show the film Now You See Me rated PG 13.

Knitting Circle

On Thursday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. the ladies (men are welcome, but we have not seen any yet!) knit and crochet, embroider and quilt, and more. You can learn a new skill here, share your own special talents with others, or just craft in the company of friends. Drop in anytime. No registration is required.

Cemetery tour

On Friday, Oct. 25, at dusk, about 6 p.m., we will have a haurnted historical cemetery tour. Bring a sweater and flashlight for a night full of lore.  Your guide, Wes Laraway has many tales in store.  Light refreshments to follow.  Tickets are $8 each available at the library or from a library board member.

Haunted library

On Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10 p.m., get ready to have the pants scared off you again as the library presents their second annual Haunted Library.  Tickets are $3 per person or $5 per family.  There will be cider and donuts, too!  Please note that the Haunted Library is scary and is not appropriate for young children. 
The library is closed on this day in anticipation of our haunted library event.

Concert series

On Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m., the library will present the Not so Quiet Concert Series with Buddy Mondlock. Tickets are available at the door.  A $10 donation is suggested.  Please use the back entrance when entering the building.
