On Saturday, Oct. 1 at 3 p.m. join us for adult board games and enjoy fun and different games.
Story time
On Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 10:45 a.m. get ready to move in this interactive story time designed especially for children up to age 5 and their caregivers. We'll read books, sing songs, recite fingerplays, dance, and watch a short movie based on a weekly theme. No registration is required.
Mahjong
On Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m. men and women are invited to the library for a get together in the community room to play Mahjong. Don't know how to play? No problem. No registration is required.
Insight meditation
On Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 5:15 p.m. join us for a simple group Zazen meditation practice. All are welcome. No registration is required.
Chair yoga
On Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 9 a.m. join us for chair yoga with Vicki DeGroff. Donation for the class is $5. Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. Please use back entrance.
Discovery Wednesdays
On Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 11 a.m. our Discovery Wednesdays program will take place. Join Miss Andrea as she welcomes children ages 3 to 6 to Discovery Wednesday. Lots of fun with art, science, stories, and more in this interactive program. Registration is required.
Movie
On Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. join us for the showing of "Ithaca" rated PG. The popcorn is free.
Kundalini Yoga
On Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 5 p.m. join us for Kundalini Yoga. It involves repetitive movements with the breath, building strength, toning the nerves, and clearing the adrenal glands. Wear comfortable clothing and bring two blankets or a mat and blanket. A $5 donation is requested. Please use the back entrance when entering the building. No registration is required.
Concert
On Thursday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. join us for Tom Prasada-Rao. He is a musician's musician, an unassuming presence on the folk scene since the early nineties. He's starting to tour again after being featured last year on the nationally syndicated TV show Troubadour Texas. Suggested donation is $10. Please use back entrance.
Cemetery tour
On Friday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m., stroll the souls of the Middleburgh Cemetery with Wes Laraway. A town settled over 300 years ago with stories of fallen soldiers, settlers and town’s folk as the lands were bitterly fought over for power, the Middleburgh Cemetery holds these and many other souls. Dress warmly, bring a flashlight and your courage. Only $10 per person.
Holiday schedule
On Monday, Oct. 10 the library will be closed in observance of Columbus Day.
