Have some “Scratch Coding Fun!” on July 18 at 2 p.m. at the Middleburgh Library.
Scratch is a computer programming website www.scratch.mit.edu that makes it easy to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, and more! Join us to learn the basics and create your first project. Registration is required.
This program, for kids going into grades 4 to 6, is part of our Oceans of Possibilities Summer Reading Program.
Board meets
On July 18 at 6 p.m. the Library Board of Trustees will meet. The public is welcome.
Summer Reading Program
On July 19 at 10:45 a.m. join the Summer Reading Drop-in Storytime with Miss Terry for a fun, interactive, literacy based storytime every Tuesday morning. We'll read books, sing songs, dance, play games and watch a short film centered around our weekly theme. No registration required. For parents and caregivers and little one ages 0 - 5 although older siblings are more than welcome to attend.
Also on July 19 at 1 p.m. the Summer Reading Family Matinee will show "Finding Dory" (PG) When it's hot outside, come in and watch a fun afternoon film with your family! When Dory, the forgetful blue tang, suddenly remembers she has a family who may be looking for her, she, Marlin, and Nemo take off on a life-changing quest to find them, with help from Hank, a cantankerous octopus; Bailey, a beluga whale who's convinced his biological sonar skills are on the fritz; and Destiny, a nearsighted whale shark! Dive into the movie overflowing with unforgettable characters, dazzling animation, and gallons of fun! Free popcorn! No registration required. This program is part of our Oceans of Possibilities Summer Reading Program.
Mahjong
On July 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. Mahjong is back at the Middleburgh Library. Come and join the group. If you don't know how to play and want to learn, the group will help you.
More Summer Reading
On July 20 Summer Reading "Jellyfish in a Bottle" come make your own jellyfish in a bottle and learn some cool facts about these mysterious ocean creatures. Registration is required. For kids going into grades 2 through 5. This program is part of our Oceans of Possibilities Summer Reading Program.
On July 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. Summer Reading - Teen Castaways: Recycled Magazine Beads. Come hang out in the Teen Room and make recycled beads out of paper, You can then make bracelets, key chains, and necklaces or use your imagination to make something completely unique. Registration is required. For kids ages 12 through 12th grade. This program is part of our Oceans of Possibilities Summer Reading Program.
Book Sale
On July 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. come to the Middleburgh Library Annual Book Sale - Be sure to stop in. We have a lot of great books for you to browse through.
