Middleburgh Library Notes for Thursday, April 19, 2018

There will not be any Tuesday programs on April 24 due to the special election for New York State Assembly. The Middleburgh Library is a voting place.

Wednesday Matinee

On April 25 at 1 p.m., the movie “I Tonya,” rated R, will be screened. It tells the story of competitive ice skater Tonya Harding rising in the ranks at the United States Figure Skating Championships, but her future in the activity is thrown into doubt when her ex-husband intervenes.

No registration is required. Free popcorn will be served.

Knitting Circle

On April 26 at 7 p.m., friendly ladies (men are welcome, but we haven't seen any yet!) knit and crochet, embroider and quilt, and more. You can learn a new skill here or share your own special talents with others — or just craft in the company of friends.

Drop in anytime. No registration is required.

“Vegan Comfort Classics”

On April 28 at 2 p.m., the library presents its monthly book club, Cooking by the Vegan Book. We pick the cookbook, you pick and make the recipe!

How the cookbook club works: Every month, a cookbook will be selected and will be at the circulation desk, for you to look at and we will print up the recipe of your choice. Sign up online or at the circulation desk to let us know what you’re cooking so we don’t have duplicates. Registration is required.
