Come to the Guilderland Public Library on Sunday, Dec. 21, at 2 p.m., to enjoy a musical respite from the hustle and bustle of the holidays.
Suburban Sounds, chorale group, will sing seasonal favorites, and some selections sure to become new favorites. Their calming, peaceful, and entertaining renditions are just the thing to put the joy back into this joyful time.
Giving back to Guilderland
In the spirit of holiday giving, the staff of the library took part in the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce’s Holiday Angels Program.
The Holiday Angels Program is designed to reach out to, and help, families in need or who have fallen on hard times this holiday season right here in Guilderland.
Gingerbread Friends
story time
Kids and their folks are invited to join us for a special holiday Gingerbread Friends story time at GPL on Monday, Dec. 22, at 10:30 a.m.
You’ll hear wonderful gingerbread stories and music, do some fun movement, and make your own gingerbread friend to take home with you.
Winter Giving Tree
When you contribute to the Foundation’s Winter Giving Tree, you’re helping underwrite many special library programs and services that are not funded by taxpayer dollars.
So next time you visit GPL, and you see the Giving Tree in the lobby, think of all the events — for kids, teens, and adults — you’ve enjoyed. Thank you for your generosity.
This year, you're in effect giving double. An anonymous donor will match your contributions, dollar for dollar.
Parents, are you looking for a special gift for your child’s teachers? Give them a Star on the Giving Tree. We’ll send an acknowledgement to you and the teacher.
Holiday hours
GPL will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 24, and Thursday, Dec. 25, for the Christmas holiday. We will reopen at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 26. Your virtual hometown library is always open at www.guilpl.org.
