Guilderland Library Notes for Thursday, December 15, 2016
Celebrate the season with the annual Suburban Sounds Holiday Concert in the Guilderland Public Library’s Helderberg Room at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18. This respite, right before the Hanukkah, Christmas, and New Year holidays, gives you a chance to sit, relax, and enjoy a live choral performance.
Perfect polymer jewels
This program on Monday, Dec. 19, at 6:30 p.m., is for teens — and anyone else who wants to craft a really cool piece of jewelry (that could even be a gift). You will create wearable art using polymer clay. The project is fun and does not require any previous jewelry-making skills.
You will learn some simple techniques that will enhance your pieces and give them a professional look. Again: Adults are welcome. Just give us a call at 456-2400, ext. 4 to let us know you’re coming.
Musical mystery story time
Local singer-songwriter and librarian Tor Loney will lead toddlers and preschoolers through an exciting music and movement story time on Monday, Dec. 19, at 10:30 a.m. You’ll listen to stories, dance, and sing along .
Holiday schedule
We will be closed for the Christmas holiday from Saturday, Dec. 24, through Monday, Dec. 26, opening at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27.
For New Year’s, we will close at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, and be closed all day, Sunday, Jan.1, 2017. Happy New Year!
