We’ll have a drop-in flu vaccine clinic at the Guilderland Public Library on Thursday, Oct. 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. Both the regular vaccine and the high-dose option for people ages 65 and older will be available.
The pharmacist on hand can vaccinate any child age 3 and older. Please bring your insurance card. For those without insurance, each vaccine costs $39.99.
Civics 101: The Mueller Report
A distinguished panel will convene at GPL on Thurday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. to cover the key findings of the 448-page Mueller Report.
Dr. Bruce Miroff, a national expert on the American Presidency and American politics; Dr. Bruce Dearstyne, a local author and historian; and Professor of Law Christine Sgarlata Chung, co-director of the Institute for Financial Market Regulation, will all take part in our in-depth discussion.

GPL Cabaret Night
Our new GPL Cabaret Night series debuts Friday, Oct. 11 at 6:30 p.m.! Relax and enjoy an after-hours special performance of jazz standards, featuring the velvety vocal stylings of Jeanne O’Connor and her trio of musicians.

“Barn Dance”
Join WMHT’s Barbara Lukas on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 10:30 a.m. for a fun-filled family literacy program based on the classic picture book, “Barn Dance.”

Meet Jacqueline Rogers
On Saturday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m., beloved New York Times best-selling author / illustrator Jacqueline Rogers will read her 2019 book “Goblin Moon,” conduct an illustration demonstration, lead craft activities, and sell and sign copies of her book.
Ms. Rogers has been in the business for over 35 years, and has created covers and illustrations for over 150 books. This event, sponsored by Guilderland Library Foundation, is ideal for ages 4 through 8. All are welcome!
The Kennedys
We're thrilled to be hosting renowned folk-rock band The Kennedys as part of our GPL Sunday Concert Series on Oct. 13 at 2 p.m.
Pete and Maura Kennedy are perhaps best known for having been with Nanci Griffith's band, but their musical career spans over 20 years. They’ve released more than a dozen albums, including their most recent compilation, 2018’s “Safe Until Tomorrow.”
This performance promises a rollicking mix of original songs — many touching upon contemporary issues and themes — plus a few covers. Come early to claim your seat for this very special performance!
Toddler development
This fun class meets every Monday in October at 1:30 p.m. It’s designed to help strengthen movement patterns for toddlers through the use of props, hands-on techniques, and play activities. FLOSS Computer Guts 101
If you’re in grades 7 to 12 and curious about the inner workings of a computer, this after-school program is for you.
We’ve taken the guts out of desktop computers; your task is to reassemble them, get them working, and download FLOSS (Free/Libre Open Source Software).
This six-session series starts Monday, Oct. 14 at 3:30 p.m. and meets on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. Participants must commit to attend all classes, and space is limited. Please register online, by phone or in person.
Village Movement
The Village Movement is an innovative endeavor founded 20 years ago in Beacon Hill, Massachussets of neighbors helping neighbors, with the goal of keeping seniors living independently in their homes. Villages are membership-driven, grassroots, not-for-profit organizations that coordinate access to a variety of services, including transportation, home repairs, and social events.
