Jacqueline Rogers is a New York Times best-selling children’s book illustrator, will be at the Guilderland Public Library on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m. to read, sign, and sell her book, “Goblin Moon.” The event, which includes a craft activity, is sponsored by Guilderland Library Foundation.
Thinking of heading down to Orlando? Professional Disney planner Colleen Parisi will be on hand at the Guilderland Public Library on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m. to share valuable tips for saving time and money on a Disney vacation.

Word Up!
Calling all teen and adult word masters! Assemble a team of fun-loving folks and join us Friday Oct. 4 at 6:30 p.m. for an Adult/Teen Spelling Bee. Full disclosure, this is not your average spelling bee — teams will go head-to-head playing various word games designed to keep everyone on their toes.
The team with the most points at the conclusion of this lively word-based competition will be crowned the victors, while everyone enjoys a fun evening. Please register online, by phone or in person.
D&D Intro
If you’re in grades 8 to 12 and have always wanted to learn how to play Dungeons and Dragons, here’s your chance! Plan to be here Saturday, from Oct. 5, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

“The Night Diary”
We’re teaming up with Voorheesville Public Library on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 1:30 p.m. to discuss the Newbery Honor-winning book for middle-grade readers, “The Night Diary.”
Author Veera Hiranandani will visit us via Skype to tell us more about her book, while we sample delicious Indian/Pakistani snacks. This program is for students in grades 5 to 8 with a caregiver, and takes place at Voorheesville Public Library. Please register and pick up a copy of the book at either library.
Baby Yoga
On Monday, Oct. 7 at 10:30 a.m., join Rebecca Morris-Kencsan, L.M.T, M.A for baby yoga exercises to support your infant’s growth and development.
Caregivers will guide their little ones (aged one to 12 months) in movement, song, and play for a beneficial time of baby bonding. Please register online, by phone or in person.
Toddler Movement
This class meets every Monday in October at 1:30 p.m., starting Oct. 7, to help strengthen movement patterns for toddlers through props, hands-on techniques, and play activities. Family STEAM Night
RPI’s engineering ambassadors will lead the way towards hands-on learning on Monday, Oct. 7 at 6:30 p.m., providing a full slate of engaging STEAM-based activities for grades 2 to 12.

Civics 101: The Mueller Report
A distinguished panel will convene on Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. to elaborate on the key findings of the 448-page Mueller Report.
Dr. Bruce Miroff, a national expert on the American Presidency and American politics; Dr. Bruce Dearstyne, a local author and historian; and Professor of Law Christine Sgarlata Chung, co-director of the Institute for Financial Market Regulation, will all contribute to our in-depth examination of the Mueller Report.
