Multiracial Hair Care

Let’s face it: caring for your child’s hair can be difficult. Parents in multiracial families face the added challenge of working with a hair type they’re not familiar with.

On Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 6:30 p.m., Lavida Barkley, of Coiled: A Textured Salon, will share her expertise to help simplify curly hair-care routines and product choices. The goal is to de-stress “Wash Day” and encourage you and your child to enjoy maintaining their hair.

All are welcome, including caregivers, those considering adoption and/or foster parenting, and those simply wanting to learn more about hair care. Please register online, by phone or in person.

Ukulele Jam

Whether you play ukulele, or want to learn, all skill levels are welcome to join the fun on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 6:30 p.m. for our informal jam.  We meet the fourth Thursday of each month for this family-friendly program. Bring your own ukulele (or check one out from us!). No registration required, just drop in.
