Come celebrate another wonderful, fun-filled summer reading club with the grand finale in the Guilderland Public Library’s Helderberg Room on Thursday, Aug. 15, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
When you come to the grand finale, you’ll be able to collect your prize coupons, free books, and reading certificates. Stay and watch the slide show of this year’s Dig Into Reading Summer Reading Club highlights. You’re bound to be one of the stars.
Plus, if you turned in your reading record by Aug. 9, you received a ticket entering you in the grand prize drawing. You have a chance to win any of a number of delightful prizes. Winners will be drawn after 7 p.m. You need not be present to win; we’ll call you.

Photo restoration
Can you restore a printed photograph using digital techniques? Of course you can, and you will find out how if you attend the next Digital Photo Forum at the library on Thursday, Aug. 15, at 7 p.m.
Forum member Herb Brown will show the work he did to digitally restore a photograph; the techniques he used are easily learned by even novice digital photographers.
The Digital Photo Forum is where photographers gather to discuss work they are doing and to share information about how to improve their work. This is an open forum, with occasional special guest photographers. All are invited to bring their work to share and also their questions. Bring work on memory cards, USB drives, CDs. The group meets the 3rd Thursday of each month.
