Wicked Albany

What was Albany really like during the Roaring 20s? University at Albany Professor Frankie Bailey will paint a fascinating picture of stark contrasts with her presentation “Wicked Albany: Lawlessness & Liquor in the Prohibition Era”, Wednesday,  Jan. 29 at 7 p.m.

She’ll describe how Prohibition produced the exact opposite result of its intent, merely forcing alcohol-related commerce underground, and lawlessness and violence to the forefront.

The Answer is less

Wondering how to pare down unnecessary belongings and by extension, simplify your life? This presentation is for you!

On Thursday, Jan. 30 at 6:30 p.m., local professional organizer Jes Marcy will examine underlying reasons why we consume so much, and cover practical streamlining strategies. Please register online, by phone, or in person.
