Bethlehem Library Notes for Thursday, September 19, 2013
On Friday, Sept. 27, at 1 p.m., the Bethlehem Public Library will present actress and teaching artist Sara Melita. She will perform William Luce’s one-woman play, Belle of Amherst, about Emily Dickinson. All are welcome. This program is cosponsored by Bethlehem Senior Projects, Inc.
Paws to Read
On Saturday, Sept. 28, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. drop in to the library and read to Kitty, a gentle dog who loves stories. For kids in grades 1 through 5.
Workshop
The library is offering a workshop for adult job-seekers on résumé writing on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 6:30 pm. Learn how to create a visually appealing document, effectively describe your experience, and prioritize your accomplishments.
This program is part of the library’s new series, Bethlehem Works. A laptop and current résumé are helpful but not required.
The library offers ongoing free job-coach services for adults, college students and high school students preparing to enter the job market. Hour-long appointments are available Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. Call 439-9314, ext. 3009 to find out more and set up an appointment.
