Bethlehem Library Notes for Saturday, August 30, 2014

On Friday, Sept. 5, at 4 p.m., the Bethlehem Public Library will offer family dancing with Wii on the big screen. This program is for kids in kindergarten through grade 5 with family.

Daybooks

On Monday, Sept. 8, at 1:30 p.m., the Daybooks group will discuss

Tenth of December by George Saunders. New members are welcome. Copies of the book are available at the information desk.

Board meets

On Monday, Sept. 8, at 6 p.m. the library’s board will meet. This meeting is open to the public.

Young at Heart

On Monday, Sept. 8, at 7 p.m., the book discussion for teens and adults will be The Maze Runner by James Dashner. New members are welcome. Copies of the book are available at the information desk.

Afterdinner Books

On Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m. this group will meet to discuss The Painted Girls by Cathy Marie Buchanan. New members are welcome. Copies of the book are available at the information desk.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi for Health will meet at the library on consecutive Wednesdays at 11 a.m., from Sept. 10 to Oct. 29. The program will offer instruction in basic movements that provide a solid foundation in tai chi for people of any age.

The sessions will be led by Cathy Brenner, who has studied Tai Chi for six years and is certified by the Tai Chi for Health Institute.

The program is accessible to people of all ages and abilities. No prior experience is needed. Participants should wear loose clothing and smooth-soled shoes.
