Shappy receives new rank

VOORHEESVILLE — Joshua Shappy from Voorheesville, serving with the Company C, 2-108th Infantry of the New York Army National Guard, has been promoted to the rank of specialist.

Army National Guard promotions are, according to a release from the guard, based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential.
