Scores of Voorheesville Middle School students are involved in the production of “Guys and Dolls Jr.,” which will play at the Lydia Tobler Performing Arts Center at Clayton A. Bouton High School on Route 85A in New Scotland Nov. 17 and 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 19 at 2 p.m.

Neil Yager, a doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and an interventional cardiologist, has joined Albany Medical Center’s Division of Cardiology and has been appointed assistant professor of cardiology at Albany Medical College.

For the holiday season, First New York Federal Credit Union is collecting rolls of toilet paper at all branches and at its company headquarters. The rolls will be shared with Catholic Charities Tri-County Services, an agency made up of programs that assist the needy with the basic necessities of life.

Federal funding will be available, beginning Nov. 13, for elderly New Yorkers and low- and moderate-income residents who need help heating their homes.

The Home Energy Assistance Program is making $327 million in federal funding available to eligible  New Yorkers to help cover heating costs.
