St. John’s Lutheran Church at 140 Maple Ave. in Altamont will observe Jan. 4, as Epiphany Sunday with an informal worship service at 8:30 and a traditional service at 11 a.m.

Sunday school is at 9:45 a.m.

 At the 11 a.m. service the sermon is entitled, “Just the Facts Ma’am” based on the story of the Wise Men as recorded in Matthew 2:1-12. The Liturgical Choir will sing, “See, Amid the Winter’s Snow,” by Dana Mengel.
