Alloya moves to renovated Executive Park Tower
GUILDERLAND — Alloya Corporate Federal Credit Union is the first tenant of the newly renovated Executive Park Tower at Stuyvesant Plaza, a commercial building with 170,000 square feet of office space on 12 acres with on-site parking for over 1,000 cars.
This week, Alloya, which provides cooperative services to 1,500 member credit unions throughout the country, moved into 12,797 square feet on the fourth floor of the 10-story building and has a long-term lease.
Based in Warrenville, Illinois with additional offices in Southfield, Michigan and Covina, California, Alloya has operated an Albany office since 1977. The Executive Park Tower office houses 35 employees from the Alloya team.
The arrival of Alloya follows a multi-million-dollar renovation and rehabilitation project at Executive Park Tower, which began in January 2013, following the departure of the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services in December 2012, when the agency, which occupied nearly 90 percent of the tower, relocated to the Alfred E. Smith Building in downtown Albany as part of the state’s ongoing restacking initiative.
The steel and glass building was gutted and renovated with new ceilings, floors, lights, heating, and electrical systems and other amenities. Other features include destination dispatch elevators, an oversized freight elevator, and a new energy recovery ventilator system. Available office spaces are being customized to meet the specifications and needs of incoming tenants.
