Crossgates holds Survivors Shine Fashion Show

GUILDERLAND — Crossgates Mall and To Life! will hold a breast cancer fashion show on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on the lower level in front of Macy’s.

The Survivor’s Shine Fashion Show will feature 19 breast-cancer survivors walking down the runway in Macy’s and The Walking Company attire.

The entire event is sponsored by FLY 92.3 and 100.9 The Cat. Macy’s will supply makeup, outfits, and accessories, while The Walking Company will provide shoes for each model. Ania Hair Studio & Spa will also be on site to give each survivor an up-do.

During the month of October, Crossgates Mall backs the local breast cancer awareness and support group called To Life! This non-profit serves 10 local counties by offering support groups, cancer information, counseling on treatment options, and a private setting for women to shop for post-mastectomy garments, breast forms, accessories, and wigs.

To show support, customers may purchase a $1 Breast Cancer Awareness Pin Up throughout the month of October. They will be sold at the Crossgates Mall Customer Service Desk, located on the lower level by Macy’s. All proceeds will benefit To Life! Every customer that donates will automatically be entered to win a $100 Crossgates Mall gift card.
