Holiday Hunger Appeal launched

GUILDERLAND — The Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York launched its 29th Annual Holiday Hunger Appeal on Nov. 20 at Crossgates Mall. It will continue through Dec. 29.

Volunteers will be collecting monetary donations from shoppers daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the food bank’s booth on the mall’s lower level, near Best Buy.

The food bank provides $10 worth of food for each dollar it spends, according to a release from the food bank.

Last year’s Holiday Hunger Appeal raised over $490,000 for the food bank.
