Bottle drive to support Honor Flight

ALTAMONT — The American Legion Riders is collecting returnable bottles and cans to raise funds to send United States Veterans on all-expenses-paid trips to Washington, D.C. to see the monuments that honor them and their service.

Bags of returnables may be left by the shed in the back of the American Legion Post 977 at 988 Altamont Blvd. in Altamont or they may be dropped off at the Albany Beverage Center at routes 20 and 146 in Guilderland.
“Just mention Honor Flight and they will tag your donation so Honor Flight will get funds,” said Richard Perras of the Legion Riders. “Won’t you join us in showing them how much we appreciate what they have done for us?”
