BERNE—After months of bitter protests from citizens who objected both to new zoning and to a Stewart’s in the hamlet, the Stewart’s company has withdrawn its proposal to build a convenience store and gas station in Berne.

BERNE — Gordon "Gordy" Clapper regularly drives the Berne-Knox-Westerlo late bus — always with his wife, Sharon, in the front seat of the bus.





KNOX—Knox town workers are getting a pay raise.





BERNE—For the second year in a row, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo School District’s budget was approved on a second vote. This time, the margin was larger: 63 votes.




BERNE—If a Stewart’s gas station and convenience store is built in Berne, few people will be as directly affected as Kenneth Bunzey. Bunzey and his family live at 1713 Helderberg Trail in Berne, right next to the proposed Stewart’s site.
