Thacher Park has shear, vertical rock faces that could make for a challenging climb. Rock-climbers may get their chance at adventure if the park's new master plan is implemented.

Dylan Collett may not be the most intimidating pitcher in the collegiate game, but his chances of getting batters out is very high. The Guilderland native has a passion for baseball, and his confidence has given him an edge. 

Ally Burdgick is making her third appearance at the All-American Soap Box Derby in Akron, Ohio. She wants to be a winner this time. 

GUILDERLAND –– Curtis Snyder is the first Guilderland coach to win two sectional championships in one school year. He is the head coach for two different varsity teams –– girls’ soccer and boys’ tennis.

 In the Division II Championship game last month in Philadelphia, Aaron Cahill and Danny Santandrea were teammates for LeMoyne College, and they went up against Eugene Sellie, who will be a senior at Mercyhurst College next fall. All three played lacrosse for Guilderland.

 

Luke Stark once thought about transferring from Ithaca College, but his love of baseball kept him at the school. His decision to stay paid off because he was a key player in the Bombers’ playoff run to the 2013 Division III World Series.

GUILDERLAND –– Josh LoGiudice and Mike Lainhart may have hoped for more wins at the state wrestling tournament, but at least the two Guilderland juniors know what to expect the next time they make the gifted field.
