It’s been a rough few weeks here in Altamont, as several prominent members of our community have passed away.

Throughout the year, we’re frequently asked if we accept book donations, and normally, we have to say that we don’t have enough room for donations.

I am a Righteous Babe. More specifically, I’ve recently been named an honorary member of one of the most active book clubs in the area, the Most Righteous of the Righteous Babes Book Club.

The Altamont Free Library has recently added a new museum pass to our growing collection: The Hyde Museum in Glens Falls is an often-overlooked gem in the Capital District.

Another gala is in the books! I have to extend a huge thank-you to everyone who attended the 11th annual I Love My Library! Gala Saturday night.

This weekend at the Altamont Free Library’s I Love My Library Gala, we will pay tribute to two very special people who have each positively impacted the library over a long span of time.

Well, that happened fast! Tickets for the 11th annual I Love My Library Gala are all claimed. We look forward to seeing many of you on Saturday, Feb. 10.
