On Tuesday, Dec. 16, the Bethlehem girls’ basketball squad hosted a Suburban Council matchup against Averill Park. The Eagles used their stifling defense all game long to soar away to a 69-to-40 win.
On Saturday, Dec. 13, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo-Middleburgh and Guilderland varsity wrestling squads battled against top teams in the Wrangle on the Plains tournament at the Impact Athletic Center.
On Friday, Dec. 12, the Guilderland-Voorheesville boys’ swimming team hosted Albany at Clayton A. Bouton High School that saw Guilderville bring the heat as they won easily 94 to 61.
Last Thursday, Dec. 11, the Voorheesville Blackbirds traveled to Towne Bowling Academy to take on Colonial Council foe in Mohonasen. The Blackbirds started well but the Warriors’ fought off the Birds as they fell 22.5-10.5 (3467-3203 in total pins).
Last Thursday, Dec. 4, the Bethlehem boys’ bowling team traveled to KingPin’s Alley Latham to kick off their season as they took on Colonie. The Eagles battled in the three games but fell, 21-11 (3178-2715 in total pins).
Last Wednesday, Dec. 3, the Guilderland Dutchmen bowling squad kicked off its season at home as it took on Saratoga. The Dutchmen dominated on the lanes as they won easily 28.5-3.5 (3503-2777 in total pins).
On Friday, Dec. 5, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo girls’ basketball team kicked off their season with an early test as they took on last year’s state Class C finalist in Stillwater. The Bulldogs chipped away all game long but fell 62 to 37.
