NEW SCOTLAND — Lanes will be closed on Voorheesville Avenue (County Route 306) in the village of Voorheesville beginning on Tuesday, July 16, through Monday, July 22, from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. each day.

GUILDERLAND — The chamber of commerce here is hosting a town-wide Restaurant Week, from Monday, July 15, through Monday, July 22.

Restaurant Week will feature special menus, discounts, and offers at participating restaurants for a fixed price of $24.24.

The second Biking, Burgers, and Beverages event will return to the county’s Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail on Thursday, July 18, from 5 to 7 p.m., rain or shine.

This year, the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Guilderland Chamber in hosting the event.

The state is waiving swimming pool entry fees at New York state parks this summer. 

In the Capital District, this includes just two pools — Peerless and Victoria — both at Saratoga Spa State Park in Saratoga Springs.

Bradley Towle will present a Schoharie County Historical Society talk at the Gallupville House on July 25, centered on the 1932 presidential election.
