ALBANY COUNTY — The League of Women Voters is holding a video competition for Albany County high school juniors and seniors.

ALTAMONT — The Altamont Community Food Pantry will now be open from 4 to 5 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of every month; changes may occur due to holidays.

Appointments preferred; please call 518-861-6542.

The pantry is currently providing contactless pick-up and in-person.

GUILDERLAND — The Guilderland Garden Club’s initial meeting of 2022 was held on March 14 at the Guilderland Town Hall. The meeting opened with the installation of officers by Elizabeth Walker, the second vice president of the Federated Garden Clubs of New York.

A free waterfront lifeguard course will be offered April 19 through 22 in Gloversville.

People who are at least 16 years old and have vision of 20/70 or better interested in lifeguarding positions at Department of Environmental Conservation facilities this summer may register.
