 One of the great strengths of the institute has always been the way it has drawn from the community.

What is Thanksgiving about? It’s about pilgrims coming to a new land, a harsh wilderness where many died, and celebrating their survival at harvest time with the natives who made their survival possible. We are now in that wilderness. We need to help each other survive. 

The COVID-19 vaccine will be good medicine. Equitable distribution of it will be good policy.

For the sake of saving American lives, the Trump administration should allow the incoming Biden administration to have a say in vaccination distribution. That is what the majority of Americans voted for.

Putting our roads on a low-salt diet

 As we urge our local highway departments to stay on top of the most efficient systems for distribution of salt, we note that each of us can make a difference in how we handle the ice and snow at our own homes or businesses.
