We want to help neighbors, even those who don’t now know one another, to connect and have a conversation. These conversations, conducted through our website, will be rooted in a place — the community we cover. The first topic will be cancer.

Grade inflation has led many high schools to eliminate class rank. Guilderland should evaluate its grading system before it does so.

Not only should schools celebrate students with disabilities at graduation ceremonies, they should include and support these students from the start of their education.
