NEW SCOTLAND — Audrey J. Foster “passed away peacefully...with her loving family by her side,” her family wrote in a tribute. She died on Monday, March 28, 2016, at Albany Memorial Hospital. She was 85.

Mrs. Foster was born to Charles and Mabel Zorn. She married Rodney M. Foster Sr.

RENSSELAERVILLE — Deidre Lynn Andrus, a former deputy town clerk and a loving grandmother, died peacefully at her Rensselaerville home on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, with her son and daughter by her side. She was 53.

“She fought a very long and heroic battle with breast cancer,” her family wrote in a tribute.

HADLEY — A man with a “warm and wonderful smile,” Donald A. Heidrich, who owned the Western Beef House, died peacefully on Tuesday morning, March 15, 2016, at his home, surrounded by loving family and friends. He was 89.

GUILDERLAND — Agnes Theresa Graffeo (née Marotta), a loving wife and mother, died peacefully at home on Saturday, March 19, 2016, after spending an evening celebrating her birthday with her family. She was 88.

“The love and care of her husband and family was the focus of her life,” her family wrote in a tribute.

WESTERLO – Edmund A. Keppler, who loved his farm life, died on Tuesday, March 22, 2016. His family wrote that he “went home to be with our Lord and Savior.” He was 75.

“He loved living on the land, and working outdoors,” said his sister, Dorothy Leicht. “He was friendly to everyone he met. He was a very sweet person.”

Jean A. Richardson, who was witty and wise, died on Monday, March 21, 2016, in the comfort of her Albany home. She was 83.

Margit S. Cook’s “most joyous years,” her family wrote, “were spent raising her children and being with her family.”

BERNE — William D. King, a kind and compassionate friend who loved fishing, died on Sunday, March 6, 2016. He was 57.

Mr. King was born in Albany on Jan. 23, 1959. He graduated from Bethlehem Central High School in 1977, and attended Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.

ALTAMONT — For her father, Joseph R. Pugliano, “It was always about being Italian and feeding people,” said Susan Pugliano Baker.

ALTAMONT — Helen Edna Winkler Fries, who square danced with her husband, baked pies for auxiliary dinners, and won at dominoes, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Guilderland.
