WESTERLO — A fund-raiser for Ruth Peck Savino, who is battling breast cancer, will be held next Saturday, April 26, by the Westerlo Reformed Church and the Auxiliary of the Westerlo Fire Company at Woodman’s Hall on Route 401.

NEW SCOTLAND — The Albany Therapeutic Riding Center, which puts people with disabilities on horseback, is participating in a garage sale.

The center is seeking items to sell.

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation will host a free fishing day and stock trout in Rensselaer Lake at Albany's Six Mile Waterworks on Monday, April 14, at 9:30 a.m.

GUILDERLAND — Each spring, Guilderland students are part of two music traditions — the best performer in a concerto competition wins a solo spot in a school concert, and choral and instrumental groupss attend the New York State School Music Association Major Ensemble Evaluation Festival.

BERNE — Berne’s annual Summerfest — a fun-filled day of music, games, delicious food, demonstrations, fireworks and more — will be held this year on Saturday, Aug. 23, between noon and dark.  The rain date is Aug. 24.

The Landis Arboretum in Esperance wants additional vendors at its annual plant sale. The dates are Saturday, May 17, and Sunday, May 18.

The vendor cost for a booth space is $35, which includes both days.
