Notice is hereby given that the Planning Board of Town of New Scotland, New York will hold a public hearing pursuant to Article V, Section 190-52 F. of the Zoning Law on the following proposition:

A Public Hearing Site Plan Application # 127

Site Plan Application # 127: Application submitted by James Cramer to request site plan approval to construct a new single family dwelling on an existing 1 acre lot which currently has a structure which has previously been determined by the town to be unsafe. The property is located within the HD-E zoning district located at 28 Whitbeck Lane and is identified as New Scotland Tax Parcel #84.-1-9. This application is a site Plan as per Article V, Section 190-52 of the town zoning Law.

Hearing will take place on January 5, 2021 at 6 p.m. via Zoom Meeting.

Warrant Date – December 31, 2020

NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS TOWN OF GUILDERLAND, ALBANY COUNTY, NY PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the tax roll and warrant of the County Legislature of Albany will be/was delivered to the undersigned Receiver of Taxes and Assessments of the Town of Guilderland by December 31, 2020. 

ALSO TAKE NOTICE that the undersigned Receiver of Taxes and Assessments will attend for at least thirty days from December 31, 2020 from 9:00 AM until 4:30 PM of each weekday, Monday through Friday, at the Town Hall of the Town of Guilderland, for the purpose of receiving taxes assessed under such roll.

NOTICE SHOULD ALSO BE TAKEN that due to the COVID-19 virus, the Town Hall building is closed to the public.

The preferred method of paying tax bills is by mail through the United States Post Office. Postmark determines timeliness of payment.

Payments can be placed in the Drop Box located outside the front doors of Town Hall. Receipts mailed within 72 hours.

Payments can also be made on-line by credit card or e-check by visiting www.townofguilderland.org

In-person payments will be accepted by appointment ONLY by contacting the Tax Office at 518- 356-1980 ext. 1059 or via email at

ALSO TAKE NOTICE that taxes may be paid on or before February 1, 2021 without charge or interest. On all such taxes remaining unpaid as of February 2, 2021, a 1.0% penalty will be added for the period of February 2, 2021 to March 1, 2021. On all such taxes remaining unpaid as of March 2, 2021, a 2.0% penalty will be added for the period of March 2, 2021 until March 31, 2021. Thereafter, the Receiver will return to the Albany County Director of Finance all unpaid taxes pursuant to law, and in accordance with the provisions of § 924 of the Real Property Tax Law.

NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF TAX ROLL AND WARRANT

TAKE NOTICE, that I, Lisa Williams, the undersigned Collector of Taxes of the Town of New Scotland, County of Albany and State of New York, have duly received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of New Scotland for the year 2021, and that I will collect at 2029 New Scotland Road, Slingerlands, NY, in said Town of New Scotland from 8:30 A.M. to 4 P.M. each day by appointment only except Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays for the purpose of receiving taxes on the said roll.

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that taxes may be paid on or before February 1 st without interest. On all taxes received after such date, there shall be added interest of 1% if paid on or before March 1 st and an additional 1% for each additional month or fraction thereof thereafter until such taxes are paid or until the return of unpaid taxes to the County Treasurer pursuant to law.
