TOWN OF GUILDERLAND PROPERTY TAX 2022

NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS TOWN OF GUILDERLAND, ALBANY COUNTY, NY
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the tax roll and warrant of the County Legislature of Albany will be/was delivered to the undersigned Receiver of Taxes and Assessments of the Town of Guilderland by December 30, 2021.
ALSO TAKE NOTICE that the undersigned Receiver of Taxes and Assessments will attend for at least thirty days from December 30, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 4:30 PM of each weekday, Monday through Friday, at the Town Hall of the Town of Guilderland, for the purpose of receiving taxes assessed under such roll. Town Hall is closed Friday, December 31, 2021. Town Hall will be open Wednesdays (Janaury only) unitl 6:00 pm for after hours tax collection.
ALSO TAKE NOTICE that taxes may be paid on or before January 31, 2022 without charge or interest. On all such taxes remaining unpaid as of February 1, 2022, a 1.0% penalty will be added for the period of February 1, 2022 to February 28, 2022. On all such taxes remaining unpaid as of March 1, 2022, a 2.0% penalty will be added for the period of March 1, 2022 until March 31, 2022. Thereafter, the Receiver will return to the Albany County Director of Finance all unpaid taxes pursuant to law, and in accordance with the provisions of § 924 of the Real Property Tax Law.

The Town Board of the Town of New Scotland will hold a Organizational Meeting, on January 1, 2022 at 12:00 PM. Due to health and safety concerns related to COVID-19 in person attendance will not be permitted.

LEGAL NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village of Voorheesville Board of Trustees voted on and passed Local Law #2 of 2021 on December 21, 2021 – opting out of licensing and establishing retail cannabis dispensaries and/or on-site cannabis consumption establishments within the Village of Voorheesville.
All local laws passed by municipalities opting out of allowing adult-use retail dispensaries or on-site consumption licenses are subject to a permissive referendum as outlined in section twenty-four of the Municipal Home Rule Law. The Clerk-Treasurer is directed to post and publish a notice setting forth the date of adoption of this law and its purpose and effect, indicating that it is subject to a permissive referendum.
Upon the expiration of thirty (30) days, and in the event no Petition is timely filed to have this action submitted to the electors of the Village for their approval or disapproval, the Clerk-Treasurer is hereby directed to file the law with the Secretary of State.
