GPD warns: Lock your cars
GUILDERLAND — The Guilderland Police Department is warning residents to lock their cars after a series of reported vehicle break-ins in McKownville.
Deputy Chief Curtis Cox told The Enterprise that five car break-ins were reported as of Dec. 16 and that an investigation was ongoing.
“No area is exempt and these things tend to happen in cycles,” said Cox. “I know there are people who leave their cars unlocked, and you really shouldn’t; don’t keep valuables in plain sight.”
Anyone with information about the break-ins or who wants to report a break-in should call the Guilderland Police Department at 356-1501.
